The Queensland flood 2010-2011 affected thousands of people, including my family. "Flood" is the story of my daughter and I, indeed a different experience... we had, when flood damaged our house, furniture, car, and whatever we were carrying when driving, escaping from the flood zone. I am writing this story in memory of those who were lost, those who lost their loved ones, those brave men, women and children who sacrificed themselves to save others, those who suffered and in memory of the great spirit of volunteers who are helping to rebuild Queensland after the floods of 2011.
